Jordin Sparks Fans

This week the top 9 performers sang timeless American songs. Tony Bennett was their mentor for the week.

Tony Bennett said that “Jordin was terrific”, and that it was very intelligent how she improvised.

She sang “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever”, a Barbra Streisand song. Jordin knocked this song out of the park and it was an absolutely perfect vocal.

Here were the judges responses:

• Randy said “that was the bomb again”, “you’re like a pro and you’re 17″.
• Paula said “you really are this magnet of joy”, and “I’m just so fricking proud of you I don’t know what to say”.
• Simon said “I think you sang it very well”, but that it was “very old fashioned”.
